The partnership will be showcased via co-branding on more than 500 million cans around the world and marks one of Ubisoft’s largest retail promotion partnerships in the company’s 30-year history. Kicking off in late August, the partnership will include multiple prizing categories and possibilities to win, including:
- BONUS IN-GAME CONTENT UNLOCKS
Players will have the opportunity to unlock in-game resources, starting currency and weapons via the Monster partnership. Those who purchase select Custom Collector’s cans, four-packs, and ten-packs are able to redeem their codes for the chance to win in-game prizes like Drachma(in-game currency), Animal Resources, World Resources and bonus weapons not available in the game, including the Dust Biter sword, the Face Breaker long stave, the Scepter of Thaati long scepter and Rain Bow.
- GRAND PRIZE: DEVELOPMENT STUDIO VISIT
Six grand-prize trips to the development studio will be awarded to eligible fans in the US and Canada. These trips will be for two to the Ubisoft studio in Montreal, Canada. Each winner and their guest will get a behind-the-scenes studio tour. All airfare and transportation will be covered by Monster.

100 Xbox One S consoles and copies of Assassin’s Creed Origins will be given away to fans in the US and Canada who participate in the Monster Energy program. By visiting the dedicated site, fans will be entered to win the Assassin’s Creed Origins console prize package.
Google released a preview of a new SDK called ARCore. It is currently running on the Pixel and Galaxy S8.
ARCore works with Java, OpenGL, Unity and UE. Focusing on three things:
- Motion tracking: Using the phone’s camera to observe feature points in the room and IMU sensor data, ARCore determines both the position and orientation (pose) of the phone as it moves. Virtual objects remain accurately placed.
- Environmental understanding: It’s common for AR objects to be placed on a floor or a table. ARCore can detect horizontal surfaces using the same feature points it uses for motion tracking.
- Light estimation: ARCore observes the ambient light in the environment and makes it possible for developers to light virtual objects in ways that match their surroundings, making their appearance even more realistic.
Assassin’s Creed and Final Fantasy XV development teams have announced a collaboration to pay homage to each other’s gaming universes.
The collaboration kicks off on August 30. Final Fantasy XV players who have obtained the Dream Egg from the Moogle Chocobo Carnival Event will be gifted a very familiar Assassin outfit. And the next day, August 31, Assassin’s Festival DLC will be release for Final Fantasy XV.
KFC has reportedly introduced a 10 minute training program that instructs employees how to fry chicken.

id Software announced that Quake Champions will exiting closed-beta and enter Early Access on Steam and the Bethesda.net launcher from next week.
“With a fast, skill-based game like Quake Champions, nothing is more important than continual testing and refining, based on player feedback, to ensure the game is balanced, optimised, and fun for all levels of players, from pro to new,” said Tim Willits, Studio Director at id Software. “The Early Access version of Quake Champions is, obviously, a work-in-progress, but represents a solid and robust version of the game, with four modes, 11 Champions, a variety of maps, and a thriving community of fans. Early Access will allow us to work closely with players to improve the game and add additional features before the official launch of Quake Champions in the coming months.”
