Assassin’s Creed: Origins Release Date Leaked

Assains’s Creed: Origin release date has been leaked via a Game Informer magazine. The alleged leaked release date is October 27, 2017.

  • No more sprinting button, speed depends on analog stick

Overkill is Giving Away Free Copies of Payday 2 For a Limited Count

Overkill is giving away 5 million free permanent copies of their heist fps title, Payday 2, in anticipation of their upcoming Payday 2: Ultimate Edition. The free version of Payday 2 will not include DLC that have been released over the years, But it will include the upcoming VR version of Payday.

After that, all DLC will say “goodbye” to the Steam store and merge into one big Ultimate Edition bundle together with the base game. All future updates for Payday 2 will be released for free. If you didn’t get a chance to purchase DLC before the 8th of June, an upgrade option to the Ultimate Edition will be available.

Youtube Will Demonetize Violent Video Game Montages

Due to the YouTube policy changes, Montage video with focused on violence will demonetize. Violence in the normal course of video gameplay is generally acceptable for advertising, but montages where gratuitous violence is the focal point is not, such as “The Best Kills in Resident Evil 7” or “The Best Kills in Call of Duty: WWII”.

Say Goodbye to Steam Greenlight

Image result for steam greenlightGreenlight first came out in 2012 as a democratic gateway that determined which games made the final cut to Steam based on player votes. However, Valve felt there were problems with the system. While Greenlight was great for popularising games like Stardew Valley and 7 Days to Die, and over 63 million of us have played games submitted to Greenlight, lots of great titles were getting lost in the noise and fake positive reviews were being posted.

So as of 6 June, 2017 Greenlight is no longer accepting new submissions and voting has been suspended. Starting 13 June, Steam Direct will be the new path for developers to bring their game to Steam.
